    Shortcut folder with a target

Is it possible to create a shortcut on the desktop similar to the MY DOCUMENTS folder with a target to the hard drive.

    Thank You

Re: Shortcut folder with a target

    Yes.
    New | Shortcut
Then type in the required address - e.g. "C:"

This will give you a single pane Explorer view. If you want a two pane view, i.e. with the folder tree on the left, make the shortcut to Explorer itself with switches. e.g. "%SystemRoot%explorer.exe /n,/e,c:"

In each example above, omit the quotation marks.

Re: Shortcut folder with a target

Since my explorer.exe is not in my "SystemRoot", that target line was not functional.

I would recommend this as the target:
    %windir%explorer.exe /n,/e,c:
