    Crystal Reports Formula (9.0)

    Any Crystal Report Formula gurus...

I have a date mm/dd/yyyy. What I like to do is create a formula to just show MM/DD. I tried changing the format and it displays the MM/DD but when i export to excel the formatting is lost. So I think I need to create a formula.

    Help!
    Thank you

Where does Excel come into the picture? If you are exporting data to Excel before you use Crystal Reports with it, then you might try formating the results of a query in the MM/DD manner, and then use the CStr() function to convert the displayed data to a text string before you send it to Excel. But Excel may turn around and apply the date using the current year.
