chart text on 45 deg angle (97 SR2)

I'm making a triangle chart, so have one axis 45 degrees and the other 135 degrees. To put the axis titles in, I made a text box, but I can only place it horizontally or vertically. (I'm using the XY chart as the base chart.)
How can I put some text on a chart so that it appears at an angle?
    thanks, ruth

    Select the text box.
When you select the text box with a single click it is surrounded with a border of diagonal lines. Click the border a second time and it will be surronded by a dot pattern.
When the text box is surrounded by the dot pattern border, Right click the border of the text box and select Format text box from the shortcut menu
Select the Alignment tab in the format text box dialog box and set the alignment of your choice.

My alignment choices are only vertical or horizontal. I want the text to be diagonal.

Edited by HansV - changed Work Art to WordArt

If you don't get a reply with a way to tip the text box to a 45 degree angle, you could use a WordArt object in the alternative and that can be rotated.
