    Scheduling Email (O2003WXPHER2)

What we would like to do is to be able to send an e-mail on a specified day. Can anybody tell us how to set this up please as we have no real idea of how to do it ourselves.

Click "Options" in the toolbar of the e-mail message window (not in the main Outlook window)
Tick the check box "Do not deliver before".
    Specify a date and time.
    Click OK.

Outlook itself does not provide for this, but there are third-party add-ins that do, such as the E-Mail Scheduler in MAPILab Toolbox. A Google search for outlook mail scheduler will turn up more.

CAUTION - WARNING - BIG RED FLAG

The default configuration of Outlook 2003 on an Exchange Server is to be in cached mode. In cached mode, "do not deliver before" does NOT work unless Outlook is running!!

Thanks for the warning - I didn't know that (we're not on 2003 yet)

I did some searching and found that this change is by design - yet another stupid decision <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>

Yes - very stupid decision - and there should be a warning when you click it on. I found out because and email didn't get sent on a Friday when I said it would. It went out on Monday morning when I logged back in. Very helpful.
