Colour codes used for woodys lounge

Can you tell me what the hex colour is for the background colour of this page and the background colour of the headings (not the purple colour).

The reason l ask is that l would like to use this colour scheme as this it is very pleasing to the eye.

Hi Justin, If you are using FireFox there is a great extension called ColorZilla, if you install this into your browser you can pick the colour straight off of the web site, it wil give you the colours in hex and RGB. Cheers gws

You do realize that there are a number of different stylesheet choices for this site. My page does not have any purple on it!

The first thing you'll want to do is view the HTML source of the page and find the CSS file(s) referenced in the LINK attribute. Then you'll need to go to your temporary internet files (or wherever your browser of choice stores the files) and locate the referenced CSS file. Then you can easily match the colors listed in the CSS file to the elements on the page.

Also, some of the Woodys Lounge Stylesheets use background images rather than plain background colours. If you're thinking of using the images, read Woody's Lounge Rules and Guidelines Rule 5.

I like a little free utility called colorpic. It shows you the hex code of any colour you can see on your screen (in a little magnified window).

If you search for colorpic.zip at google you will find lots of places you can download it from.
