    Send Object failing (97 sr2)

I have a button on a form that automatically will send and e-mail through Lotus Notes for a name choosen from a dropdown. My problem is it works fine for me. I sent the database to the user for testing and she is getting this message "Run Time error 2046 the command or action SendObject is not available. I am at a loss.

    Thanks for any insight.

Does the user have an e-mail application set up as default?

We all use Lotus Notes and she has no problem with that.

I'm sorry. I did not realize I had posted this message before. I am so very frustrated with this problem. It does not make sense to me that the sendobject command would work on one computer and not on another. It works fine on my computer.

Have you taken a look at the threads I mentioned in my previous reply?

Re: Send Object failing (97 sr2)

    Hans,
Yes I have. I am most puzzled as to why it works on my computer, one of my users and not on my other two users' computers. I would assume if it were a coding or logic problem it would not work for anyone. I keep thinking that it must have something to do with Access or Office.

    Thanks

I'm sorry, I have no idea. I don't use Lotus Notes, so I cannot test anything.

I am still unable to resolve this problem. I have been told that the machine that is causing the problem is an NT machine while my machine, on which the database was developed is Windows 95. Does anything think that may be the cause of the problem?

It is possible that CDO is not enabled on the NT machine, although it is built in to the Win95 OS. That would cause problems with SendObject.

    How do you enable this?

CDO is part of Office but isn't installed by default in later versions of Office. Rather than worrying about that for now, take a look at <!mskb=555020>Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 555020<!/mskb> to see if that applies to your coworker's situation.
