Changing from Word 2003 to Word for OS X (2003)

I'm considering replacing my Windows machine with an Apple PowerBook, and am wondering if anyone has any advice/comments/etc. regarding the differences between Word 2003 and Word for OS X. Can I assume that all my macros/VBA code will just transfer over? Are there any features available in Word 2003 that are unavailable on the Mac version? Stuff like that.

Hysterically, ooops, I mean historically, Mac Office has significantly lagged Windows Office VBA.
Expect significant issues moving Windows VBA to Mac VBA,

I'll second Howard on that. Not only will some code likely not work, but the error messages are usually unhelpful.

A few specific things that come to mind:
<UL><LI>None of the VB6 string functions (Split, Join, etc.) are available. (but you can certainly roll your own)
<LI>There's a limit to the number of lines of code you can put in a procedure.
<LI>You can't directly edit .ini files (created with System.PrivateProfileString), because they're stored in the "Resource Fork"
<LI>You can't define Enums[/list]There's more, but that's what comes to mind. The only way to know for sure is to try running your macros on a Mac and see what breaks (also: using the VB editor on a Mac is a *pain* -- many of the keyboard shortcuts don't work as they do in Windows).

The people at the Apple store usually are pretty flexible in letting you try out Office.X (or whatever the latest incarnation may be called). When I wanted to test the import feature of their presentation software, I uploaded a PPT file to some web space and then used the demo machine's Internet connection to download it. I'm sure you could do the same with a Word template or two. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
