    ZIPping in VB (VB6)

Other than the zlib set of tools from ino-fzip are there any recommendations with regard to free zip tools?

Also, if possible, any sites where usage of a recommended tool is explained. Sample code etc.

    Thanks,
    John

Assuming you want to zip programmatically, try the
WinZip commandline add-on, which is free for registered
WinZip users. One advantage of this is that you can even
zip documents that are open in an application.
The other libs crash when you try that.

It's OS-specific but Windows XP seems to have some understanding of ZIP files natively. I guess actually it thinks they are a subspecies of compressed folders that happen to have a .zip extension, which probably is not really the same thing... never mind. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
