    query/hyperlinks (97)

Hope I can explain this clearly.

I have one table-1 that has two fields (Schoolname and hyperlink). I have another table-2 that has two fields (Schoolname and Away/Home)

In a query I connect the two tables and create a field called DirectionLInk. I put the following code in it: DirectionLink: IIF(<table-2>[Away/Home} = "A", <table-2>[hyperlink],"H")

This field will now show either the hyperlink or H.

I want it to show the letter A as a hyperlink to the page and not the actual hyperlink.

    Any suggestions

    Thanks

    Paul

    Try

    DirectionLink: IIF([Away/Home} = "A", "A" & [hyperlink],"H")

This assumes that [hyperlink] is a Hyperlink field.

That approach didn't work. All I ended up with is:

    Ahttp://moravian.......

The A did not turn into a hyperlink linked to the site.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks

    Paul

Is [hyperlink] an actual hyperlink field, or a text field?

The field in the table has been setup as a hyperlink field.

I don't think you can do this; the function converts the hyperlink to plain text.

    Let's try a different approach.

Is there a way to have something show up in a hyperlink field that will be just a Word and not a link.

    H instead of Hyperlink H

    Thanks
