    Access and E-mails (Access 2000)

I am maintaining a database that captures e-mail addresses. If I wish to send an e-mail to all those in my database is there a way to accomplish this without re-typing all of the e-mail addresses into Microsoft Outlook?

You can use Word to perform a mail merge to e-mail with the Access table as data source. Word will ask you which field to use as e-mail address.

An alternative is to write code in Access that loops through the table and used DoCmd.SendTo to send e-mails.

Alternatively, you could use a 3rd party product to send-out emails, bypassing Outlook entirely. I've had pretty good success with PBEmail http://www.perfectionbytes.com. I posted a demo database for using this product on my website (see below).
