    automatic numbering (2002)

Is it possible to create a series of numbered items, within one sentence, using automatic numbering?

    You could use SEQ fields:

    - Press Ctrl+F9 to insert field brackets { } (don't type them yourself, that won't work)
    - Type SEQ Num (you can replace Num with any name you like)
    - Press F9 to hide the field code and update the value.
    - Type the text for an item.
    - Repeat the above steps for each item. Use the same name for the sequence in the SEQ field each time.

Look up SEQ in the Word help for more info.

Note: if you change the order of the items, you may have to select the sentence and press F9 to update the numbering.

Thanks so very much. It was really easy to understand with your directions.
