STI Database definition (access 97 sr2)

Apologies if this question seems to have originated from a simpleton, but I cannot find a hard fast definition elsewhere.

We have a third party who is presenting file formats which they say are held in an STI Database prior to final import.
As I understand it STI stands for "Sustainable Technologies Initiative"?
    Any more suggestions or pointers?
    TIA

There appear to be several STI databases. It can stand for Sustainable Technologies Iniative (Department of Trade and Industry - Sustainable Technologies Initiative) but also for Student Training Index, and for Scientific and Technical Information (NASA STI Program Fact Sheets) and others... So you'll have to ask your third party for details.

Yes thank you Hans. I was very lucky in the fact that the company I was contracted to still had a position for me to occupy.
Kind of put things into perspective.
On the plus side - I have now listed ALL of my logons/passwords/forum subscriptions with my brother, who in turn has passed all of his to me (paper copies).
That means if anything like this happens again at least he can tie up any loose ends for me.
