Converting Base 32 to hex (2002)

Is there a function or other way to convert a 160-bit, Base 32 number to hex and vice versa? For example, given the hex value 0x9FE233E001C4BE9C30289499C41023FBECEC72EF, can I convert that to Base 32, and then back to Base 32. Thanks.

Since nothing I know of works with base 32, there are no built in Excel functions to do the conversion. You could possibly write one yourself. Assuming that the digits in base 32 for 16 through 31 are G to V the conversion would go like this using the last three digits in your number for and example:

    1- 2EF converted to binary is 1011101111

2- If you split that into groups of 5 binary digits you get 10111 01111.

    3- 10111 would be N and 01111 is F or Hex 2EF is Base 32 NF.
