    Re: Office help menu

I have no solution Ruth -- but you are not alone ... I am getting the same display. Now if you don't mouse over the hyperlinks or the graphics (which generates the error), and you expand the first item under the Contents tab, and click on the Help Center topic, you will see the real display of the item. It's a workaround.

By the way, for anyone who can help, the error box that pops up is titled "Internet Explorer Script Error" and says "an error has occured in the script on this page", the error is listed as "object expected", and on my machine, it lists a URL as mk:@MSITStore:C:MSOfficeOffice101033olmain10.chm::/html/OLstart.htm.

I think I saw some XP updates regarding "help" at their website. Have not downloaded them yet. Not sure if this will cure the problem.

    Office help menu (XP)

Installed Office XP today and decided to check out the help menu. I typed What is new and chose the desired option. Well a page was displayed with some text. It looks like htm but I'm missing the graphics plus I'm getting an Interent Explorer Script error along with the file it's trying to identify. I found the file in the appropriate folder so it's not missing. I have also installed and implemented Outlook's patch.

    Any Ideas? <img src=/S/blank.gif border=0 alt=blank width=15 height=15>
