    AD and corrupt profiles

    Hello people!!
I have a quick question - might not be a quick answer. We have 30 people on our active directory and we want to re-create a profile, does anyone know the best way to do this. We have tried but when we delete the users profile on the server it will not allow it to re-create a new one over the top. Only thing I can think of would be to take a copy and delete the users account but by doing this we lose the connection to the mailbox and would mean having to export all mail from the mailbox first. We have tried to dismount the mailbox but this only results in errors as the new user created doesn't have the right SID.
    Any help would be great!!

    Re: AD and corrupt profiles

    Two things to try:
    1) Create a profile folder (leave it empty) matching the account name in the same folder with the other profiles. Add the following permissions:
    - Domain Administrators: Full Control
    - System: Full Control
    - The User in question: Full Control (Owner)

It that doesn't work, you can also:
    2) Give domain users permissions to create folders in the Profiles folder

    Hope this helps
