    Sending email via OUTLOOK (2003)

    Have been using VBA code to "send to" reports from my DB via email with a button click. Recently converted to MS-Outlook and it generates a message stating an attempt to email using VB is occuring and do I want to allow this. The message takes 3-5 seconds to fully develop before "yes" can be selected. This is an annoyance and requires the extra clear message tstep to get the report sent. Anyone know if there is a statement in VB that can be added to my specific code to send the report immediate?.
    Code associated with send is below:
    DoCmd.GoToControl "text178"
    mailto = Text178
    DoCmd.SendObject acReport, "query-master-table", "RichTextFormat(*.rtf)", mailto, "", "", "NPI Cell RDT Testing Report--", "", False, ""

    Hi Chris,
    Take a look at this post by by Charlotte (there are many more in the Access Lounge as well) <post#=375777>post 375777</post#>
    The Redemption library works very well and bypasses the "draconian" email sentry (Outlook Object Model Guardian) that has been a part of Outlook since MSOffice 2000. You can also get information here Helen Feddema's Access Archon #113 from Woody's Access Watch
    Before this was developed and released, I used the cdo.dll library from Outlook 98 and it seemed to work well at least through Outlook 2002. However, while using the cdo library does remove the annoying messages it also removes the Guardian. Using the Redemption library in code keeps the Object Guardian in place, but bypasses those messages when your vba application calls it.

    Hope this helps.
