Thunderbird and Encoding (Thunderbird 1.0.2)
I'm thinking of switching from Outlook Express to Thunderbird. I'm wondering what the advantages are (eg more secure?). One thing I don't like about Outlook Express is sometimes I get headers where certain characters have been changed. I think this is something to do with encoding. I also sometimes get emails and no matter what encoding I select the message contains weird characters. How is Thunderbird at dealing with encoding? I sometimes receive emails in Japanese or from email addresses in Japanese. Could this cause problems?
Thanks for any replies.
