    Background music (2003)

    Hi there
How do I insert continuous background music to multiple slides? There must be no break in the music.
    Thank you

Are you playing the sound from a CD (various tracks), or is it an MP3 that needs to be looped.

In either case...in the custom animation pane, there should be a stop playing after ? slide...where ? slide is the last slide no.

    Sorry I don't have PPT 2003 available!
    Regards,
    Rudi

    Hi Rhonda,
Thought I'd just update the reply as I'm on a PPT 2002 PC. (This is more similar to your 2003 version!)

To get the sound to play thoughout the presentation:
    1. Insert the sound from the INSERT | SOUND FROM FILE command
    2. Right click on the sound icon and choose Custom Animation.
    3. The Task Pane will open and it will list the sound icon (Media ? - where ? represents a number!)
    4. Click on the drop down arrow next to the Media entry in the Task Pane
    5. Choose "Effect Options"

This will activate the dialog you see below!

Adjust the Start and Stop Playing settings as needed. Stop Playing after (spin number to represent last slide no.)

    Hope this helps!
    Regards,
    Rudi

I'd recommend putting 999 in the "stop playing after" box. See Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it) for specifics.
