Adding text to TOC (XPP MSO2003)

    Hi

After updating procedure documents I am wanting to put text in the TOC to alert staff that the particular procedure has had a change. The changes are highlighted in the document and the date of issue in the footer is changed but unless they go into the document there is no way of alerting them to a change.

    Can this be achieved?

    cheers

You could reserve a heading level (e.g. Heading9) to display the message "This section updated" you could simply insert this Heading in each changed section and it would automatically appear in the TOC.

If you apply highlighting to the heading for the section which has changed then the TOC also includes the highlighting. You might even go so far as to create a character style to apply to a heading and see whether those character attributes are taken into the TOC.
