    Vlookup or match (Excel 2000)

    I want the formula to lookup/compare the text. If the text is in the lookup table, return the text. If it is not return a blank not an error message. Thank you.
    =(VLOOKUP(N3,'Billing Codes.xls'!$A$3:$A$78,1))

    Try this:

    <code>=IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(N3,'Billing Codes.xls'!$A$3:$A$78,1)),"",VLOOKUP(N3,'Billing Codes.xls'!$A$3:$A$78,1))</code>
