    XL97 VBA Calculation Error

    Is anyone aware of a problem in XL97 regarding vba code problems relative to changing the calculation option from manual/automatic or visa-versa? I'm encountering the following error message:

    "Method calculation of object application failed"

    Code Used-
    With application
    .Calculation = xlManual
    .MaxChange = 0.001
    End With

    Thanks,
    John

    Re: XL97 VBA Calculation Error

    Try the following

    Application.Calculation = xlCalculationManual
    or
    Application.Calculation = xlCalculationAutomatic

    and see if that works any better.

    The code you posted should work - I checked it on XL97 and it worked as expected.

    I tried the code you suggested and continue to encounter the same problem. Any ideas?

    Re: XL97 VBA Calculation Error

    I notice that in the code you posted, the a in application is lowercase. Did you copy the code from your xl module or did you re-type. I would imagine that Excel would have capitalised the a unless there is some problem causing excel not to recognise the code. Does any other code run trouble free in the same workbook ?. Have you tried that code in another workbook ?

    Could you post a copy of the workbook minus any data but including the offending code. ?
