    Change defaults (2003)

Got a new computer - had to reinstall all software - I've done everything I can think of, everything Microsoft tells me to do - done it a hundred times for my students and co-workers - CANNOT MAKE EXCEL OR WORD keep the defaults I WANT - what the heck am I doing wrong?

Are you sure you're not logged in as guest?

Are the defaults being saved for the "Administrator" account when you log back in as the Administrator but not in any other user account?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

I'm the only one who uses this computer so am always logged on as Administrator and nothing else. Go figure - also have some software that , in the afternoon, decides the scroll bar on the bottom should no longer work and the left arrow should be grayed out and pointing up.

Can't wait 'til I can join YOUR retiree club - bet I never miss a day either!

    Thanks for the try
