Open File - Security Warning (XP 5.1.2600 SP2)

On my new CPU loaded with Office 2003, I created an Office Shortcut Bar by making a new folder and dragging shortcuts to it, then right-clicking the Windows Status Bar at the bottom of my Desktop, > Toolbars > New Toolbar > and pointing to the new folder. I docked the new toolbar at my left screen edge. When I click any icon on the new toolbar, I get an "Open File - Security Warning" message box that tells me, for example, that my Microsoft Excel shortcut is from an Unknown Publisher, and I have to click Open to get to Excel. How can I avoid this message box? See attached screenshot.

Thank you for your pointer to the KB article. However, my programs are on my desktop client and open normally when I choose other methods or shortcuts. The KB article seemed focused on server-client issues, which I don't believe have anything to do with what's going on with my local client desktop Shortcut Bar links. Correct me if I missed something, please!

Excuse me if I get it wrong, but as I understand, you right-clicked on the Taskbar, selected Toolbars | New Toolbar and pointed it to

Cocuments and SettingsAll UsersStart MenuProgramsMicrosoft Office

(or wherever your Office shortcuts in Start menu are). Then after docking the new toolbar at the left side of the screen and clicking a shortcut you see a confirmation prompt to run the shortcut, am I wrong?

Try to delete (uncheck) Microsoft Office toolbar from the Toolbars list and create it once again.

Ah-Ha! Your last post contained the magic words! I moved my Office Shortcuts folder to the Eocuments and SettingsAll UsersStart Menu location, recreated my toolbar to point to that location, and Viola!, no more Security Warnings! <img src=/S/clapping.gif border=0 alt=clapping width=19 height=23>

Thanks for hanging with me on this one.
