    Infrared Mouse Problem

I have a Logitech infrared mouse. It worked fine for a long time but it has started developing problems. It does not seem to want to

    Re: Infrared Mouse Problem

    Ronnie,
Infrared mice are much more trouble free and accurate than the old ball type mice. BUT, they do wear out. Particularly the switches under the mouse buttons which are mechanical devices. I just had to replace my IR mouse recently because the left mouse button was getting erratic and wouldn't always "click".

How long have you had this mouse and how much use does it get? If it's been a while, you may want to consider sending your mouse into retirement. New ones are rather inexpensive these days.

    Re: Infrared Mouse Problem

I think you're right. I was thinking that will no mouse ball, it was not mechanical and should never wear out but it's the mechanical switches I'm having trouble with and it is fairly old. I'll just swap it out. Thanks.
