    Terminate process (VB.Net)

    Hi,

i have an HR system that links with Office for exports of reports and mail merges, etc. However there are problems regarding the normal.dot document and after the HR application closes there are many message boxes that prompt to save the document as changes have been made. Is there a way to write a VB.Net app that will allow me to terminate those processes? The current method is to either go around the loop of ' Do you want to save?;'No';'Save as';'No really i dont want to'; app closes, or use Task Manager to select the process and End Process. These message boxes do not appear as applications, they are only in the process tab of Task Manager and appear as WinWord.exe.

    hope someone can help.

Check into the System.Diagnostics.Process namespace class. You'll find all of the methods there for dealing with identifying, starting, and killing processes.
