Task Scheduler from remote?

MS KB article Task Scheduler Service on Windows NT states that NOTE: In order to use Task Scheduler, you must log on to the computer with a valid user account.

With the scheduler (AT) I could schedule remotely. Though adding the ability to assign access control per task is a move forward, removing network capability is a move backwards. Am I correct in understanding my choice is, use AT to schedule remotely or use Task scheduler but forgo the remote scheduling?

    Thanks.
