    xmlvalidatingreader (vb.net)

I'm in a real bind, I have a vb.net app that reads an xml file. I've read it, parsed part of it and put part of it in a stringbuilder variable(newXML). I need this section of the xml request to put in the response xml. Now I need to parse the part that's in the stringbuilder variable. My question is very basic. How do I open a stream using my newXML stringbuilder variable as the input.

Once I have this, I need to read into xmlvalidatingreader from the stream.

I needed this yesterday, so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Mary

    Re: xmlvalidatingreader (vb.net)

Assuming that you're sure you need the stringbuilder... (there might be easier ways to go about it, but I'll trust that you've already checked into that part)

You can use an overload of the XmlValidatingReader constructor to pass in the stringbuilder.ToString() output, XmlNodeType (Document, assuming it's the entire XML file), and XmlParserContext (I'm not familiar with this class - you'll want to read up on it).

    Hope this helps!
