Emailing a Selected record from Form View (Access 2000)

Is there a way to email a selected record from Form view?

You could create a query that returns only that record, by setting the criteria for the primary key field to something like

    [Forms]![frmMyForm]![txtID]

where frmMyForm is the name of your form, and txtID the name of the text box bound to the primary key (it can be invisible if you prefer). You can then use code to e-mail the query, or a report based on the query, for example

    DoCmd.SendObject acSendQuery, "qrySingleRecord", acFormatTxt, _
    "You@Domain.com", , , "Test Mail", "Message", True

    Hans,

Again...You amaze me...that works great. Be nice if it wasn't a text file and an actual picture of the form...but will take what I get...to bad the snapshot doesn't work with forms like it does with reports....

You could create a report based on the "single record" query, and send that in snapshot format:

    DoCmd.SendObject acSendReport, "rptSingleRecord", acFormatSNP, _
    "You@Domain.com", , , "Test Mail", "Message", True

I need to send MS Access objects as e-mail attachments, but the internet connection wizard is not configured. My default e-mail program is Lotus Notes.
If I set up MS Outlook to be a secondary e-m program, what type of account and e-m server should I use. Please advise.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

I hope someone will have a suggestion for you, I only have experience with an all-Microsoft setup.
