It looks all super whizzo and obviously much better than anything offered on an Apple Mac! And the ability to use 32-digit "accuracy" will come in useful for Bowlie's tax return!

But the inclusion of the historical European currencies seems a bit puzzling...

Alternatively, using Google's built-in conversion functions are just as simple, and the rates updated constantly...

It's not the 'inclusion' of the legacy currencies - There are only legacy currencies that convert - No GBP, no CHF, no USD just AUS, BEF, FRF, DEM etc!

What's this about tax return? We don't pay tax in ,

That's because the exchange rates between those currencies willl never change again, so they will be correct forever.

The program gives the option to add them manually, though it should have been a default setting to include all major currencies.

If you have a Palm you may want to have a look at this. It gives you all of the mass, weight, etc. conversions plus currency conversions as well. If you are on-line it will also update the exchange rates every time you sync! And it's

There's also PowerToy Calc by MS, which can work with up to 512 significant digits. I don't know which thread the discussion comes from, but Bowlie can rest assured his tax return will be accurate.
