Protection and the ability to Tab (Excel XP, SP1)

Is there a solution which enables the function to tab across cells in a protected document? When selecting ranges, I am unable to tab within the range.

In a protected worksheet, the tab key works for unprotected cells - you can tab from cell to cell in the unprotected part of the worksheet. You cannot use the tab key to move to protected cells, but why would you want to do that?

I can not tab in the areas that are set to 'allow for user editing' . The form I created in Excel does allow for me to fill in but not tab to the next fill in cell.

Sorry, never seen that happen. Could you attach a small demo workbook?

You haven't unlocked any of the cells.
    - Unprotect the worksheet.
    - Select one or more cells that the user must be able to edit (you can use Click, Shift+Click and Ctrl+Click)
    - Select Format | Cells...
    - Activate the Protection tab.
    - Clear the check box labeled Locked.
    - Click OK.
    - Reprotect the sheet, and specify that the user can select only unprotected cells (see screenshot)

Of course it worked perfectly. Thanks for always helping me. Have a great rest of the day!
