    OLE Export

I am creating a Star Wars DB and am associating an OLE object with each entry. I want to be able to export the OLE Object for backup purposes so that if the data is lost, I can import it back into the DB and not have to re-associate the picture. I can export everything else, I just haven't figured out how to export the JPEG Object along with it.

    Re: OLE Export

are you saving the jpg as an ole object in a table
if so this will cause a lot of bloat
it is usually better to link to the picture and save the path to the picture in a table

I am linking to it, but I don't know how to link the path to the object. Do I have to code that part?

FYI to those replying - gdboling (new lounger) and pribb (original post) work side by side. So gbboling is actually the originator of the original question -- just used my workstation to post it at first. Please reply to him. (in case we were confusing you)
