    exporting to Word (PowerPoint 2000)

From a PowerPoint presentation I want to export to Word only one slide of the presentation. Any clues out there - hints? Thanks for your time.

If you just want one slide in a Word documnet you could go to Slide Sorter view and copy and paste the slide into the Word document.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

if you want a picture of a single slide, you can do it as follows:
    - Go to the slide you want to export.
    - Select File | Save As...
    - In the Save As dropdown list, select a graphics format such as .png or .jpg.
    - Click Save.
    - PowerPoint will ask whether you want to export the entire presentation, or just the current slide. Select the second option (button is probably labeled No, oddly enough)
    - Insert the exported picture into your Word document (for example by dragging it from Windows Explorer into the document, or by selecting Insert | Picture | From File...

Another possibility is to select everything on the slide, and to copy and paste the selection into Word. You won't copy background colors/pictures this way.

Or you can use File | Send To | Microsoft Word... This will export all slides, so you'll have to delete the ones you don't want.
