Play a wav file with a command button (2000)

    Hello,

I tried to search for this, but didn't see anything. One of my fellow teachers showed her students how to play a .wav file by clicking on a command button on a form. Now, I can associate a command button with the Windows media player, and play a sound that way. It seems to me that if I were an instructor showing this to a class, and it isn't part of our normal curriculum (it's not in our books), setting up the media player to play a particular sound is kind of complicated for a quick demo. So, I believe she did it another way. She's away for a month, so I can't ask her. I don't show my students this functionality, because of course, my access forms are much too formal to have things like sounds coming from buttons <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15> . I don't know what she showed them.

So I'm putting this out to the lounge members. If you were showing a fairly new Access user how to put command buttons on forms, and then for a little extra zing showing them how to play a sound when the button is clicked, how would you show someone how to do it?
