    Contacts, File As

I currently format my Outlook 2000 contacts address book so that each contact appears on two lines. The first line being the company name; the second being the company contact.

Our company is very formal so that the personnal data that is often used in mailing, etc., must have a contacts full formal name (i.e. Mr. James B. Smith). However, I like to have the "file as" reference appear as Smith, Jim.

The problem is simple. If I use the standard "file as" as "given" by Outlook the record appears as:
    ABC Company
    Smith, James

If I edit the file as, the record appears as:
    ABC Company (Smith, Jim)

How do I get a two line edited entry?

    Re: Contacts, File As

If you complete the company name, then under file as select the company name but put the individuals name in brackets, like this:
    My Company (P McGinty)
It appears in the address book listing like this:
    My Company
    P McGinty
    address, etc.

If you want to file the contact by the individual's name put the name under file as "P McGinty (My Company) then it will appear like this:
    P McGinty
    My Company
    address, etc.
