    Wireless Zero Config (XP-Home Edition)

I'm working on configuring the wireless connection on an HP Pavillion zx5000, with XP Home edition. I had to go into the services and start this service and also set it to start automatically when the pc boots. The wireless connection works flawlessly but when I shut down the pc and restart it, the Wireless Zero Config settings revert to Manual as the startup type and the service has to be started manually as well.

What would cause the settings for this service to revert to not start and the startup type to return to manual? I don't know if its happening during shut down or when it restarts. All I know is that after a reboot I have to drill into the service and start it manually and I notice that the startup type is manual. Something is causing these settings to not be saved but darned if I can determine the cause.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Is the user account a limited user? You may have to be an administrator.

I'll have to check. I'm more familiar with XP Pro. I didn't think of administrator privileges since I didn't think such a entity exists in XP Home Edition.
