    #Name? in Tab Control (2000)

I am trying to design a new form with tab control (see my attachment GA######ueForm1). This form has most of the info from table ASSIGNEE. However, I don't know how to set up the record source for this new form ( you can see the #NAME? in my form). How to make the form work? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, the attachment is too large. I am trying to explain clearer. For example,
    =[ASSIGNEE]![Last Name]
is my Control Source of text box Last Name.
However, it appears #Name? in the form view. I tried just type Last Name, it didn't work too.

Can you select Last Name from the dropdown list in the Control Source of the text box?

See <post#=401925>post 401925</post#> for instructions on how to attach a database to a post.

The dropdown list is empty. Nothing to choose.

Re: #Name? in Tab Control (2000)

Is it because I firstly creat a form from table assignee using all of its fields and then copy only those I need to the new form. I have already delete that form I created in earlier time. Is there any thing I can do to fix that problem? Thanks.

You must set the Record Source of the form to the ASSIGNEE table, or to a query based on ASSIGNEE and other tables that contains the Last Name field.

Firstly the RecordSource of the form is blank, after setting the RecordSource to the ASSIGNEE table then the ID field is ok.
The lastName field needs to be set to the field in the table, you don't need the = sign at the front of the expression, nor the table name.

The Record Source property of your form is empty.
    - Open the form in design view.
    - Activate the Data tab of the Properties window.
    - Click in the Record Source property.
    - Select ASSIGNEE from the dropdown list.
    - Click on the Last Name text box.
    - Click in the Control Source property.
    - Select Last Name from the dropdown list.
