    Office Shortcut Bar (Office XP)

How do I activate the Shortcut bar that docks on the desktop. I originally ticked the check-box which de-activated it permanently. How do I access it again?
    Tx

Can you run it from Start | (All) Programs | Microsoft Office Tools | Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar?

If not, you'll probably have to run the Office XP installation again:
    Select Start | Control Panel.
    Open Add/Remove Programs.
    Select Office XP
    Click Change
Click Add or Remove Features, then click Next.
    Expand Office Tools.
Click the dropdown arrow next to Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar.
Select Run all from My Computer
    Click Update.

PS why don't you use the Quick Launch toolbar in Windows? The Office Shortcut bar is on its way out, it is not available any more in Office 2003.

It was a user request! The link was not in the startmenu. If not, I usually go to Program Files, Office10, and double click on the MSOFFICE.EXE file. But this too was not there! I guess I will need to follow the installation process you gave me. TX

I will let the user know of your suggestion too. I think its more a case of fimiliarity (for them) than anything else!

    I agree with Hans, Rudi.

It maybe what you prefer but I got rid of the shortcut bar years ago, purely because it irritated me especially when I did an accidental drag and undocked it onto my desktop. Quick Launch bar is nice and tidy, just drag the shortcouts onto it
