    IIS Server Extensions

I have a CGI script written in VB which we run on an intranet on IIS/NT. We are upgrading to Server 2003/ IIS 6.0. I am not able to get the CGI Script to run. I have an Executable Extension, the status = Allow, Required Files = C:windowssystem32cmd.exe.

I have a cgi-bin. In the properies window I have set Execute permissions to "Scripts and Executables" I have stopped and restarted the web service. What did I miss.

    Thanks.

    Re: IIS Server Extensions

Sounds like a missing application extension. Check out this thread.

    Re: IIS Server Extensions

I got it. Found it here http://www.greyware.com/kb/iiscgiextraconfig.asp. Seems as everything must be done twice. The Application Extension Mapping, which I missed and then adding it to the WebService Extension Restriction list (WSERL).

    Thanks for the direction.
