Setup default custom footer for existing workbooks (XP / 2003)

I have a set of existing workbooks which I want to print using a custom footer of date printed, file name, and page no.
Is there a way to change the default footer for existing books to this custom, or do I need to change each one individually?
    Thanks

You'll have to change each workbook individually. If the number of workbooks is large, you could write a macro that loops through the workbooks in a folder, opens each, adjusts the footer, then saves and closes it.

    Okay thanks
I shall use the macro idea.
