    Mail Merging dates (2002)

When mail-merging in Word, with data held in an excel file, word assumes it's own format for a date field. How can I tell Word to display the dates in a specific format? Thanks, Andy.

Word fields have field codes that you can use to modify the format of the date. Do a search in Word Help for Date-Time Picture and you should find all the details. In brief, you add a field switch that looks like @ "MMMM d, yyyy" to the Merge Field.

Wendell's suggestion is probably the 'safest' solution. For an alternative, see <post#=434784>post 434784</post: >.
