    Decimal Places in a Report (2002 SP3)

I have a report that will show 15.17000 even know I have the field size set in the table to double with 2 decimal places. The query that the report is based on has the column properties format as fixed with 2 decimal places and the field format property on the report is set to 2 decimal places. I do not want any decimals to show up on the report if the number is a whole number so I did not set the field

Could you post a stripped down copy of your database? See <post#=401925>post 401925</post#> for instructions.

    Hans,

Here is a copy of the database. The Line Hours field is the one with the decimal point formatting issue. Just run the report from the command button on the frm_main.

    Thanks,

    Winston

The hours_ field (labeled Line Hours in the report) contains values such as 3.880000114441. Within the available width of the text box, this becomes 3.88000.
To get around this, you can change the definition of hours_ in the qry_summary_daily query to

    hours_: Round(Sum(Nz([hours])),2)

This will round the result to 2 decimals.
