    16-bit Error (XP-Pro SP-2)

    Update:

Got a copy of autoexec.nt from a backup... the file was bad I guess, 'cause it's working now... Not sure what that file does, but it's ok for now...

    Chuck

    Thanks.

I have a 16-bit program that I've run often before on my machine, it wasn't running, so I went to install it (again) but got an error. What does it mean? And how can I fix it?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

    Re: 16-bit Error (XP-Pro SP-2)

If you are getting a 16 bit subsystem error check out this solution which is a bit easier than following all the steps listed in the MS article.
Download the XP fix file at http://www.visualtour.com/downloads

I ran it on my own machine first prior to using it on a client's machine and we have used this on a couple machines at work with success.
