Getting words that rhyme!

Hi all,

Does anyone know of some good freeware software that allows a person to type in a word, and it supplies words that rhyme! Something like a thesaurus, but with rhyming words, not synonyms!

Tx
Regards,
Rudi

There are several free online rhyming dictionaries - a google search for online rhyming dictionary will turn them up.

Re: Getting words that rhyme!

Thanx Hans. I found a freeware version of McGills rhyming dictionary! Its rather big at 13MB's. I needed an off-line version as i am not always able to go on-line when I need it!
I'm downloading the file. Hope the 13MB of file is useful!
Regards,
Rudi

Rhyme is, if you couldn't guess by the name, a rhyming program - or better yet, a rhyming dictionary program. Type in any word (it knows more than 100,000!), tell it how many syllables to match (or phonemes), and click 'Rhyme'; it's that simple. Words appear in the dialog below, and simply use the one that works for whatever you're doing. It can rhyme words forward, backwards, and with matching syllable counts.

Haven't tried it myself, but it's 946KB download, and ware of course!

Cool thing.
I hadn't even imagined I could have a need for something like this. After your post, however, I have this new need in the form of "keep the .exe file right there" .
