    Bluetooth causing Word lock up

    HI

I have a user (our IT Manager) who uses a Logitech bluetooth keyboard and mouse. He was editing a document I sent him and Word kept crashing. Needless to say he accused me of all sorts of stuff!
We eventually narrowed it down to the keyboard and mouse by having him open the document on a desktop with conventional keyboard and mouse. No problems.

Has anyone come across this problem before?

    cheers

No, but have you checked the batteries? Also, are the device drivers up-to-date?

    Joe thanks getting back

He tells me that the batteries are fine and the drivers are up to date.

The document is only 12 pages and has a TOC with 11 listings. The crash happens whenever he starts editing the document. Could it be that he has a setting that automatically updates fields and that the keyboard is interferring with this in some way?
    cheers

If you uninstalled the wireless devices then maybe it is the drivers causing a problem. Is Office up-to-date patch wise?
