    Line Numbers on Report (2000)

Excuse my simple question...I just returned from a two week vacation and I beleive I have lost my mind.

I have a very simple report...in the detail section of that report I want to have a line number representing each row of data. The report is generated from a query that has hooks into a form with some selection criteria. For the life of me...I cannot figure out how to generate a line number for each row.

    Your help is always appreciated...

    Thanks!

    Steve

Add a text box with the control source =1 then set the running sum to Over All. that should do it.

    Perfect...thanks.

How about if I wanted to do the same thing on a Continuous Form?

See MSKB article ACC2000: How to Display Line Numbers on Subform Records. It contains a link to download a sample database with a working example of the technnique described in the article.
