    EOMonth Calculation (XP;SP3)

I am having difficuly caclulating my worksheet that uses the "EOMonth" formula. The calculation is set to automatic but the cell contents is blank. If I edit each cell individually by F-2 and then Enter, the cell contents is updated.

I'm not quite sure what is happening.

    Thanks,
    John

    Legare,

    =eomonth(date(year,1,1),0)

Where year is a rangename whose contents is '2006

Basically I should end up with the last day of the month for each of the 12 months ie 1/31/2006 .... 12/31/2006

If you change the zero in "***(year,1,1),0)" to a 1, 2, 3, or 4..... you should be returned 1/31/2006, 2/28/2006, 3/31/2006 and etc.

The formula works it just is the delayed calc that is the issue.

    Thanks,
    John

Are you absolutely sure calculation is set to automatic?

Could you post a small sample workbook that demonstrates this problem?

    Hans,

I closed Excel down and restarted the app and everything works just fine. Apparently there was a memory issue; not in the size of the file but RAM.

    Thanks,
    John
