    Forms (Word 2003)

Is it possible to have information entered by a user into a drop down box in a form automatically entered into other cells in the same form. Eg I want the user to select a product name from a drop down menu and for their selection to automatically populate another cell in the form. I have tried cross referencing to the target cell however once the form is locked the field cannot be updated. Can I get around this?

If you edit the drop down form field option to add the "Calculate on exit" option then you will find that the cross reference fields will update as you leave this form field.

This way you can leave the form locked and have the cross-refs update as soon as you move into the next form field.
