    Concatenation (2003)

With respect to concatenation, how do you get a number to display in a particular format, eg, with comma and 2 decimal places when you concatenate it with other text?

As an example, I have a cell with a calculated number in it that is formated with a comma and 2 decimal places. If I concatenate that with text like "average price of whatever" it loses all formatting and shows 3 decimal places.

    Any thoughts?

Use the TEXT function in the concatenation, for example:

    ="The price is " & TEXT(B3,"0.00")
