    Referring to a subreport (2002)

I have [rptCompletedImports] that has subreport [rptCompletedImports - NoStoreDemographics]. Note, when I click on the subreport the name of the report comes up as "Completed Store Imports".

[rptCompletedReports] contains totals in the report header. I need to have a total for [txtNoDemopgraphics] which is on the subreport. I used the following in a textbox on rptCompletedImports but I get an error message:

    =([COMPLETED STORE IMPORTS].txtnodemographics)

    What am I missing?

    Thanks,
    Leesha

You must use the name of the subreport as a control on the main report. Open the main report in design view and click once on the subreport. You will see the control name in the caption of the Properties window and in the Name property.
Moreover, you must use a ! instead of a . between the name of the subreport and the name of the text box on the subreport.
