    Document Not Saved (2000)

Sometimes I try and save a file, and Excel responds with a single message "Document not saved!" with no explanation. Anyone else get this? Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

Thanks, Tony. Unfortunately, when I tried to save the file to a different drive, Excel returned the same message! Therefore, all changes I had made and not theretofore saved were lost, unless someone else has any other ideas!

Would copying the worksheet(s) to a new book and saving it work?

It might; I'll give it a try (although this is a last resort as the workbook contains several (>10) worksheets).
    Thanks.

Your Mileagve May Vary, but occasionally e-mailing the file (to yourself, if necessary) may work. OTOH it may simply give you the same error message.

    Thanks, but what is "Mileagve"?

    That is the Austrian spelling of Mileage. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Sometimes saving as filetype HTML helps. Hardly anything gets lost in that conversion.
